The short version
MemeMarket is a place to bet YES or NO on questions about memecoins, people and events. Please read this once. It is short.
Your balance
You sign in with your Solana wallet. You deposit SOL to the MemeMarket cashier wallet and the amount shows up as your site balance. Bets are paid from that balance. Your wallet never gives us permission to take anything: you approve every deposit yourself in your wallet.
Odds and payouts
- Every market is a YES or NO question. The price of a side is its chance, and the odds are 1 divided by the price.
- The odds you bet at are locked. If you bet at 1.7x and the odds move later, you still win at 1.7x. Other people only change the odds for the next bettor.
- You can cash out any time before the market closes at the live price, or hold to the end.
- A winning share pays 1 SOL-unit, a losing share pays nothing. Money from the losing side pays the winners.
Fees
Every bet and every cash out pays 3%. Half of it buys back the MemeMarket coin and half is airdropped to the coin’s holders. Buybacks and airdrops are recorded on the site.
How markets are settled
- Coin markets (for example “will this coin touch +30% within 24 hours”) are settled automatically from public market prices. A coin has to be off the pump.fun curve, at least one day old and at least $100K market cap to get a market.
- Other markets (people, companies, events) are settled by the MemeMarket team using the source linked on the market page. We write the reason on that page. If a question cannot be answered fairly, the market is voided and everybody gets their money back.
- Anyone with a wallet can create a coin market. Market creators are not paid.
Withdrawals
You can withdraw your balance to your wallet. The amount is held at once and we send it by hand, usually within a few hours. A rejected request goes back to your balance.
Risk
Prediction markets are risky and you can lose everything you put in a bet. Only play with money you can afford to lose. Prices of small coins can move fast and data sources can be late or wrong; we settle with the best information we have. The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be online. It is your job to follow the rules where you live, and you must not use the site where it is not allowed.
